like it! But why didn't you take 3-5 pictures? That way you could've worked out the color of the 1st floor of the building a bit more, maybe...

I actually did take 4 shots with different exposures. In the end I combined a regular exposure with an underexposed shot for more detail in the bright areas. The reason why I did not combine more exposures its that it would have ruined the car lights. :)

hmm...interesting. What HDR-software did you use? I use LR/Enfuse and I think it does a pretty good job saving the high-lights; I haven't done any night-car-light HDRs yet, so I don't really know...

Photomatix HDR.
... I never got regular HDR processing to work on night shots for me. I only use the exposure fusion mode for night shots, which is a kind of keyed layering.
